I enjoy working together with patients to create healthy smiles. I loved going to the dentist as a child and want to replicate that experience for all my patients.

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
As a young child, Dr. Vach always looked forward to her six-month dental cleanings with strong, somewhat unusual enthusiasm. She couldn’t wait to sit in the special dental chair! Every part of the visit was fascinating, from the X-rays to the fluoride to the special visit from the dentist and finally, the wonderful feeling of clean teeth. She still remembers the funny sunglasses she wore during the visit and the special treasure box full of prizes she’d get to root through afterwards.
Dr. Vach also had a fascination with the Tooth Fairy while growing up and even left notes under her pillow alongside the baby teeth. Once during a dental visit, her dentist offered to call the Tooth Fairy and remind her to pick up a tooth he’d recently pulled, just to make sure she wouldn’t forget. At that moment, Dr. Vach decided that she wanted to become a dentist so she could learn the Tooth Fairy’s phone number. While her obsession with the Tooth Fairy gradually went away, her interest and passion regarding dentistry as a whole only grew stronger – and the rest is history.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Vach pursued her undergraduate degree at Weber State University in Ogden, UT. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and even graduated as the Valedictorian of the College of Science! She then completed her dental doctorate at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland. Today, she is a member of the following dental organizations:

-
Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society
-
American Dental Association
-
Washington State Dental Association
-
Seattle-King County Dental society
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Vach and her husband are currently raising two wonderful daughters in the Renton Highlands area. They really enjoy seeing the world through the eyes of a baby and toddler – every day holds something new! Also, here’s an interesting tidbit about her husband: before she met him, he starred on a reality TV show called “Get Out Alive with Bear Grylls.” While she’s watched a few clips on Youtube, she’s never actually finished the season.
As for personal hobbies, Dr. Vach really enjoys making bright, cheerful quilts in her free time. While in dental school, she would often host craft quilt nights for a few classmates. She also recently had to switch to a gluten-free/dairy-free diet and likes trying out new Paleo baking recipes – she has the best chocolate chip muffin recipe that uses almond flour!
